Introduction
The Monte-Carlo Opera has prepared a lavish programme for the 2024/25 season, with 14 productions, including five staged operas and three operas in concert, showcasing world-renowned artists while strengthening links with the Principality's leading cultural institutions. The season opens at the end of October with a magnificent festival commemorating the centenary of Giacomo Puccini's death, featuring four unmissable major events.
Mozart lovers will be delighted by a new production of La Clemenza di Tito and the return of the Vienna Staatsoper for a concert version of Don Giovanni in January. February will mark a new Wagnerian journey with a production of Das Rheingold, performed for the very first time on period instruments in a stage version, highlighting the strong links between the Monte-Carlo Opera and Bayreuth. Finally, on 21 March 2025, the Monegasque stage will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the premiere of Maurice Ravel's L'Enfant et les Sortilèges at the Monte-Carlo Opera, a celebration of its rich cultural heritage and its close ties with iconic figures such as Ravel and Colette.
