The note - Audrey Schebat
Performance at Grimaldi Forum
Introduction
Leave everything without even saying goodbye?
That’s what Julien wanted to do, and what Maud cannot forgive him for. He, a famous psychoanalyst, and she, a world-renowned pianist, will be forced to take stock of their lives and their relationship. Ranging from anger to humour, their intimate confessions come pouring out in a last-ditch attempt to return meaning to their lives. One night to part from each other or to fall in love again. One night to reinvent their destiny.
Written and directed by Audrey Schebat, the play immerses Julien and Maud in a review of their relationship and their existence after 30 years together. Deceptively light, the play examines relationships, the passage of time, dreams and fading desires. A bittersweet score, ultimately full of hope.
