Le problème lapin cartographie 7 (The Rabbit Problem Cartography 7) - Frédéric Ferrer and Hélène Schwartz
Introduction
"The rabbits question Homo sapiens and his world to the point of absurdity. The Oryctolagus cuniculus dig holes, destroy lawns and crops, chew cables, garden hoses and Kerguelen cabbages, colonise central reservations, invade the flowerbeds of Les Invalides in Paris before the eyes of distraught soldiers and to the delight of passers-by, who always seem to enjoy the sight of happy rabbits". Frédéric Ferrer
But where do they come from, all these rabbits who are multiplying around us, even in the public gardens of our beloved capital? Should we see this as another symptom of planetary disruption? A marker of the uncontrollable evolution of living beings? These are huge questions, which former geographer Frédéric Ferrer addresses in the seventh chapter of his series of real-fake lectures which began in 2010. Accompanied here by actress Hélène Schwartz, he dives into a wide-ranging investigation, complete with diagrams, equations, medieval investigations and other stuffed animals. His deadpan erudition will delight and educate in equal measure.
