Hervé Sellin and his tentet perform their landmark album Marciac New-York Express, a succession of transatlantic crossings between two jazz hotspots. This series of "jazz tableaux" evokes both the tranquil landscapes of Gers and the dynamism and modernity of the Big Apple, including an original composition inspired by Pierre Boulez, performed at the Spring Arts Festival.

The first part of the Viennese diptych proposed by the four bows of the Akilone Quartet this weekend: after Webern's aphorisms (Bagatelles op. 9), Alban Berg's moving and mysterious Lyrical Suite is combined with its model, Ludwig van Beethoven's impressive Thirteenth Quartet, with its monumental final fugue.

With special guests Sindy Mohamed and Henri Demarquette, the Akilone Quartet continues to explore the two Viennese schools in two pioneering scores: Ludwig van Beethoven's Sixteenth Quartet, concise, clear, abundant, whose final exclamation, "Es muss sein!" inspired both Léo Ferré and Milan Kundera; and Arnold Schönberg's Transfigured Night, a symphonic poem that pushed the boundaries of chamber music.
