La La Land en ciné-concert

"Le Temps d’un ciel bleu" (Time of a Blue Sky) is an exhibition of eight identical flags designed by artist Flore Saunois. Entitled Certitude n°21 (bleu ciel), the work refers to the invention of scientist Horace Bénédict de Saussure, who, at the end of the 18th century, designed the cyanometer, an instrument for measuring atmospheric density. The flags feature one of the 53 colour shades that make up this invention: No. 21. The artist is thus betting on the probability that the colour of the flags and that of the sky will coincide, for the duration of the same blue sky.In her installations, sculptures, sound pieces, performances and publications, Flore Saunois explores the conditions under which things appear and disappear. The impermanence of the phenomena and objects she manipulates with mischief and poetry reveals both their concrete possibilities and their evanescence. Each situation she produces seems to fall between a "given" and its corollary, between a state and its potential future. Whether solid, textile or sound-based, the materials she uses bear witness to gestures that themselves contain memories or, more specifically, a memory.While the duration of exhibitions varies according to the decisions of those who usually design them, the satellite programme "Le Temps de…" approaches the artistic experience in terms of the temporality of the works or the materials that compose them. This will be followed by: "Le Temps d’une déclaration", "Le Temps d’un bouquet", "Le Temps d’un banquet", etc.

Peintre talentueux au regard unique, Gustave Caillebotte (1848-1894) nous plonge dans la vie moderne de la fin du XIXe siècle, capturant à travers ses toiles le Paris en pleine transformation et l'émergence d'une société de loisirs.Compagnon de route des Impressionnistes, il a non seulement enrichi ce mouvement par ses œuvres, mais aussi par son rôle de mécène et collectionneur.En soutenant financièrement les expositions et en offrant à la France une quarantaine de chefs-d’œuvre, Gustave Caillebotte a joué un rôle crucial dans l’introduction de l’impressionnisme dans les musées français.
