Introduction
The Académie Rainier III is delighted to invite you to a unique event: the very first Gala of the Theatre Department.
Catherine Lefebvre's students take to the stage to present the must-see play of boulevard theater: " Un fil à la patte" by Georges Feydeau.
Synopsis: How do you get rid of your mistress when you're planning to marry a rich heiress on the same day? That's what Bois d'Enghien, lover of Lucette Gautier, café-concert singer, is doing. She's the artist Baroness Duverger wants to sign her daughter's marriage contract with... Bois d'Enghien himself. The lover spares Lucette and thwarts the cascade of events and misunderstandings that could reveal his plans. To complete the picture: Bouzin, a shabby notary's clerk and failed composer; the furious General Irrigua, who loves Lucette and will do anything, even kill, to win over the beautiful Lucette; Chenneviette, Lucette's ex; Marceline, Lucette's hungry sister; Fontanet, the friend with appalling breath; and Firmine, in the service of Madame, are all indispensable cogs in the vaudeville wheel.
