Théo Casciani in residence at the Department of Cultural Affairs
Artist currently in residence at the Quai Art Studios, managed by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Théo Casciani is presenting a programme of interventions as part of the exhibition "From Workshops to Workshops".
A public discussion, a series of interviews, film screenings, the recording of an audio piece, a concert and a performance will all be used by the artist to consider the concept of the "workshop".
Performance schedule
"Workshop" Monday 7 October from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm
Conversation with Mathilde Roman, an art critic and lecturer at Pavillon Bosio, which will combine a presentation of texts and a discussion on the idea of the workshop, the opportunity offered by this kind of residency within the exhibition and a description of the associated programming.
"Screening" - Thursday 10 October 2024 from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm
Screening of a selection of films by the British artist and video maker Mark Leckey, interspersed with a remote conversation to discuss the way in which locations, environment and atmospheres influence creativity.
"Audio" - Wednesday 30 October 2024 from 6.00 pm to 8.00 pm
Reading and concert in collaboration with producer and composer Pierre Rousseau. The product of collaborative work in the studio and the workshop, this performance will blend novel writing and musical creativity.
