Introduction

This masterpiece of animation, made in France, tells the story of an unfinished painting. The characters, created by the painter, are at different stages of completion; the Toupins are finished characters, the Pafinis are waiting for their colour, and the Reufs are still just sketches. While the painter is away, the three groups get caught in a clash, and with the artist nowhere to be found, how will they settle this riff?

The Painting is a love letter to art suitable for all ages; everyone will find themselves lost in Jean-François Laguionie’s magical world.
