Médiathèque de Monaco
Introduction
Founded in 1909 by the Sovereign Ordinance of Prince Albert I, the public library, renamed Louis Notari in 1980 in honour of the Monegasque poet and grammarian, fulfils more than one role. It's a public library accessible to everyone, offering documentation, information, education, and leisure collections, but also preserves old and precious collections. It has been operating as a national library since 1925.
A vital fixture in Monegasque cultural life, the Multimedia Library of Monaco organises meetings, conferences, exhibitions, concerts, film screenings and literary and photography workshops throughout the year, which have proven highly successful among a wide range of audiences
The Multimedia Library of Monaco is currently spread over four sites:
- The Bibliothèque Louis Notari (Louis Notary Library) - 8 rue Louis Notari
- The Sonothèque - Vidéothèque (Audio Library and Video Library) - 2, rue Princesse Antoinette
- The Bibliothèque Princesse Caroline - Ludothèque (Princess Caroline Library - Toys and Games Section) - 1, boulevard Albert Ier
- The Fonds patrimonial (Heritage Fund) - L'Hélios - 3, promenade Honoré II

Jean Siccardi, né à Nice en 1947, est un écrivain français reconnu pour ses créations poétiques, théâtrales, romanesques et ses ouvrages pour enfants. Descendant d’une famille piémontaise installée dans les Alpes-Maritimes au début du XXᵉ siècle, il trouve une grande partie de son inspiration dans la culture méditerranéenne.Héritier de la maison de ses grands-parents au Broc, Louis retrouve le carnet gris de son grand-père. Il révèle l’histoire de la déportation de Laurent à Auschwitz. Désireux de comprendre les raisons de l’arrestation de son grand-père, Louis se plonge dans le récit douloureux de sa résilience. Élevé par ses grands-parents, à travers ce carnet, il redécouvre une histoire familiale marquée par la guerre et les secrets. Ses pérégrinations dans le village ravivent des souvenirs d'enfance et des questionnements intenses sur la mémoire et la survie.

Isabelle Demongeot, the former French tennis women’s number two who was ranked 24th in the world, is now a consultant for the French Tennis Federation. She is actively involved with the Bien Jouer association, working for a sport in which no one suffers.In her book, she shares her moving account of rehabilitation, reconciliation and victims’ voices. Her story recounts her battle against an unjust system and highlights her resilient journey. This session is a unique opportunity to reflect on the quest for truth and justice.
