Course - Restoration workshop
Restoration workshop with Magali Bonnet Funel
Wednesday 23, 30 April, 7 and 14 May 2025
Introduction
From 9.00am to 12.00pm.
Learn to restore items like they do at a museum. This is not DIY, or renovation. You will learn about contemporary conservation and restoration techniques with the aim of enhancing items you care about in an ethical way, without damaging them.
Adult workshop.
Prices:
- Those already registered for public workshops: €130 for four half-days (€32.50 per session)
- Those not registered for public workshops: €160 for four half-days (€40 per session)
List of equipment to be brought by students:
- Personal items to be restored: small boxes, mirrors, fans*
- Brushes, pots
- Apron
- Small metal spatulas, wooden sticks (skewers), cotton wool
* A photo of the item should be sent to mb.restauration@gmail.com no later than 10 April 2025. The teacher will have items available for participants who do not have one or who register from 11 April onwards.
Only 6 places are available for each session.
