Introduction
|60 Days in Prison
August 1944, as battles rage to liberate Paris, without explanation Sacha Guitry is imprisoned, suspected, on the basis of nothing but rumours, of collaborating with the German occupiers.
No one knows the real reason why he was arrested – because, quite simply, there never was one. Miraculously, during this unfair ordeal, the great author kept a daily record of his thoughts, a mix of personal anecdotes and broader historical narrative. Without ever losing his sophisticated and philosophical brand of humour, Sacha Guitry here reveals an intimate, secret side to himself, one filled with humanism and humility.
Directed by Nicolas Boukhrief | Featuring Olivier Lejeune

|The Game of Love and Chance
To test the sincerity of Dorante, the man to whom she is betrothed despite never having met him, Silvia switches clothes with her servant, Lisette. What she doesn’t know is that her intended is also keen to marry for love and has resorted to the same strategy, switching with his valet, Arlequin. Thus disguised, the two couples become the dupes of this game of chance and love orchestrated by Silvia’s father and his son Mario.
Will they succeed in finding their way out of this strange labyrinth of love? That, of course, is the entire point of this delightful play.

|Ant(s)
From the roof of the Great Tower, Antoine contemplates the city residents, like ants at work, all seemingly identical, busy and oppressed. For Antoine, the way out would be to become a self-employed driver, working for La Plateforme, a mobile app whose posts promise new users idyllic working conditions and fantastic opportunities for change. But will La Plateforme keep all of its promises? How far is Antoine prepared to go to escape his circumstances?
Based on accounts collected from Uber drivers and sitting somewhere between fiction and documentary theatre, this is a work that challenges our current consumer habits and the working conditions faced by new employees in an Uberised world.
Written and directed by Florian PÂQUE | Featuring Florian Pâque and Nicolas Schmitt
Age 11 and up
Dates: Thurs. 21, Fri. 22, Sat. 23 and Sun. 24 November
|Beethoven the Gypsy
An unlikely and humorous encounter between Ludwig and Django. In heaven, Ludwig Van Beethoven and Django Reinhardt dislike each other heartily. But with St Peter’s birthday approaching, they will need to play together under the baton of the angel and double bass player whose role is to ensure that rehearsals run smoothly. The deaf genius and the gypsy virtuoso lend themselves to a mix of genres, featuring plenty of swing and humour.
From the "Ninth Symphony" to the "Moonlight Sonata", by way of "Letter to Elise", three outstanding musicians breathe joyous, fresh new life into Beethoven.
Written by Jérémy Bourges et Pierre Bernon | Directed by Hugues Voreux | Featuring Pierre BERNON (guitar), Jérémy BOURGES (piano) and Benoit MAROT (double bass)
