Unveiling of a Commemorative Plaque in Honour of Photographers Detaille
On Tuesday 12 November, a commemorative plaque in honour of photographers Detaille was unveiled in the presence of H.S.H. the Sovereign Prince.
Georges Albert Detaille, supported by his sons Georges and Fernand, accumulated a rich photographic collection comprising more than 100,000 photographs, documenting the life of Monegasques and recording the events that marked the Principality.
The year 2024 marks the one hundred and twentieth anniversary of Georges Albert Detaille's installation in Monaco. On this occasion, a plaque in tribute to the work of the Detaille Family was placed at the Winter Palace, where his last photographic studio was located until 1984.
