A Look Back at the Awards Ceremony for the "Design Me a Garden" Flower Bed Competition
The Awards Ceremony for the first edition of the event was held on Monday 20 October 2025 at the Hermitage Hotel.
The Department of Cultural Affairs, in collaboration with the Department of Urban Amenities, launched, on 26 April last, a flower bed creation competition entitled "Design Me a Garden". This initiative aims to improve urban aesthetics, foster an attractive environment for residents and visitors by involving them in this endeavour. Open to all, it is aimed at both beginners and experienced gardeners, residents of the Principality of Monaco.
For this edition, the theme was "A Journey to the Heart of Art". Participants were invited to decorate the flower bed by drawing inspiration from famous artists or artistic movements such as, for example, Cubism, Art Nouveau, Baroque, or to recreate famous works of art with flowers, plants and decorative objects.
On 24 September 2025, the jury designated the three winning flower beds of this competition, marking the success of this first edition.
