[Council of Europe] Concert by the Monaco Boys' Choir in Strasbourg

On Friday 5 June, a concert by the Monaco Boys' Choir was held at Saint-Guillaume Church in Strasbourg, organised as part of Monaco's Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.

Founded in 1974 within the Cathedral of Monaco's music school and placed under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II, the Monaco Boys' Choir is part of the great tradition of boys' choirs and has contributed for over fifty years to the artistic, cultural and spiritual influence of the Principality.

Under the direction of Pierre Debat, the young choristers offered the Strasbourg audience an overview of their rich and varied musical repertoire, performing works by Bach, Mendelssohn, Fauré, Saint-Saëns, Casals, as well as famous French songs.

This concert also benefited from the participation of Jean-Cyrille Gandillet, assistant holder of the grand organ at Monaco Cathedral, thus contributing to the artistic quality of the programme presented to the audience.
