Introduction

Conversation scheduled as part of the "Pasolini in Chiaroscuro" exhibition at Villa Sauber from 29 March to 29 September 2024 (Curator: Guillaume de Sardes).

Bartolomeo Pietromarchi is a contemporary art critic, exhibition curator and artistic director. He leads several museums and foundations, including MAXXI, MAXXI L’Aquila and MACRO, and was the curator of the Italian pavilion at the Venice Biennale. He has also curated solo exhibitions of Italian and international artists such as Shirin Neshat, Mario Merz, Enzo Cucchi and Giulio Paolini, as well as group exhibitions such as "Pier Paolo Pasolini. Tutto è santo" (Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Rome). He was also part of the Italian pavilion at the Venice Biennale. He is a lecturer at IULM in Milan, a guest lecturer at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (China)  and author of several essays, notably in the catalogue for the “Pasolini in Chiaroscuro” exhibition.

Lecture scheduled on the occasion of the "CACTUS" exhibition at the New National Museum of Monaco – Villa Sauber.Curators: Marc Jeanson & Laurent Le BonLaurent Le Bon is a heritage curator who oversaw public commissions at the Ministry of Culture and Communication's Division of Visual Arts, then served from 2000 to 2010 as curator at the National Museum of Modern Art, Centre Pompidou. He has curated approximately fifty exhibitions and authored related publications, notably "Dada" at Centre Pompidou (2005–2006), "Jeff Koons Versailles" at the Palace of Versailles (2008), "Gardens" at the National Galleries of the Grand Palais (2017), "Dioramas" at the Palais de Tokyo (2017) and "Picasso. Blue and Rose" at the Musée d'Orsay (2018–2019). From 2008 to 2014, he directed Centre Pompidou-Metz, where he curated the exhibitions "Masterpieces?" and "1917". From June 2014 to July 2021, he served as president of the National Picasso Museum–Paris. On 19 July 2021, he became president of Centre Pompidou, succeeding Serge Lasvignes.
