L'Odyssée TransAntarctic - Immersive Concert
Discover an immersive concert‑narrative on Saturday 4 April at the Monte‑Carlo Spring Arts Festival 2026: "L'Odyssée TransAntarctic" (The TransAntarctic Odyssey).
Introduction
The epic of explorer Ernest Shackleton, whose ship became trapped in Antarctic ice and sank in 1915, left an indelible mark on history. More than a century later, the Calliopée Ensemble brought together an exceptional team around composer Graciane Finzi to create an innovative production inspired by this extraordinary adventure. Drawing on texts from expedition journals, video imagery of the historic expedition photographs, and an electroacoustic soundscape that immerses the listener in the sonic universe of frozen lands, "L’Odyssée TransAntarctic" offers a striking immersive experience.
