Each year, the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra (OPMC) presents a series of concerts for young audiences. Through these "Musical Shows", children discover the instruments of the orchestra and are introduced to orchestral music, whether classical or contemporary, sometimes accompanied by narration from an actor, or by visual illustration.

These concerts, by turns playful, educational and interactive, are designed to capture children's attention, spark their interest in music, and introduce them to orchestral works through programmes tailored to their age.

Young Audience Concert - The Little Prince

Introduction

Symphonic Concert - The Little Prince

Philippe Beran, conductor

 Joan Mompart, actor

Marina Sosnina, sand artist

Jean-Pascal BEINTUS

The Little Prince, concert suite

Based on The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

Jean-Pascal Beintus has set "The Little Prince" to music to tell the story in a new way. We follow the young boy’s journey from his tiny planet to the desert, where he meets a host of unforgettable characters.

The music first introduces us to his Rose, whom he loves and cares for with great tenderness. Then comes the moment when he meets the Fox, who explains to him the importance of friendship. Through a variety of instruments, the orchestra brings this famous tale to life and transports us from planet to planet. A tender and moving experience that allows us to discover what truly matters through music.

Exhibition – The Wedding of the Century

At the crossroads of European monarchical tradition and American-style promotion, the "wedding of the century", to quote the expression used in Le Figaro on 4 April 1956 by journalist Pierre Macaigne, undoubtedly left its mark on the minds and contemporary history of Monaco. Through photographs, moving images, sound recordings, jewels, dresses, gifts and unpublished archives, the exhibition route allows visitors to discover the key figures, locations, highlights and behind-the-scenes of a week of festivities, organised in just three months, from the spectacular arrival of Grace Kelly on the morning of 12 April, to the departure of the princely couple on honeymoon on the evening of 19 April. While the wedding ceremonies between Prince Rainier III and Grace Kelly do not feature in the Mythologies of contemporary current events decrypted by Roland Barthes (1915–1980), they could very well have been the subject of study by the semiotician in the work he published in 1957, so significant was the Monegasque event, thanks to its exceptional media coverage for the time, the varied production of souvenirs and the proliferation of its various memories.Further information is available on the [Prince's Palace website](https://www.visitepalaisdemonaco.com/en/).
