Ballets de Monte-Carlo 2025–2026 Season
Introduction
"Forty years already! Is it possible? The years seem to have passed faster than a grand jeté. I remember as if it were yesterday my first creation for the Ballets de Monte-Carlo. It was in December 1986, and it was called The Farewells. With hindsight, I see that this choreography bore its name ill, for this experience was above all an unforgettable encounter that gave me the feeling that with these dancers, I could find my artistic reality. The Ballets de Monte-Carlo were then a fledgling company, and I too was in a sense a fledgling choreographer. I had a premonition that our stories followed parallel trajectories. A few years later, H.R.H. the Princess of Hanover accomplished the miracle of making these two trajectories converge. The 2025–2026 season we present to you comes down to one word: Thank you! This is why we wanted it to be generous, diverse and full of gifts we can't wait to unwrap with you. I leave you to discover them and wish you, as always, an excellent season with our Company".
